Solar Garden Lighting – The Next Generation Of Lights For Your Gardens

Today, there are a number of different ways in which you might be able to illuminate your garden. Depending primarily on what kind of look you intend to develop for your garden, it might be essential to decide on the ideal kind of lights so that you get the perfect effect as a result of it. An option that you might probably want to consider would be solar garden lighting, which has a number of advantages that are inherent to it. In fact, you might be quite surprised at just how amazing your lighting system is going to end up looking with a little effort. One of the best aspects of going in for a solar lighting system is that it is so easy to install, that you are sure to want to do it for someone else! In fact, the ease of install is primarily because of the fact that you can simply place these around different parts of your garden and have a beautiful effect as a result from it. There is barely any technical skill required and as long as you know what you are aiming for, you don't have much to be worried about.
Technology today has advanced to such a degree that renewable sources of energy can be considered as a viable source to go in for. In fact, one of the reasons that people are drawn to solar garden lighting is because of the fact that it doesn't need much maintenance and will last for a really long time. Hence, when you do opt in for these kinds of lights, you can be rest assured that you will be able to put them to use for a really long time. This, in a number of ways, is a very good thing to have with the things that you invest your money in.
If you factor in the overall cost involved, which involves purchase, cost of running as well as maintenance, you will be able to see that this is a very effective solution. Homeowners that have opted for solar garden lighting systems for their homes are extremely happy with it and are in fact glad that they chose such a system. Not only is it one of the cheapest options out there, it is also one of the more superior ones that you could have gone in for. Thus, it is quite possible to say that if you need a reliable Garden lighting system for your garden, you should consider the solar garden lighting system without thinking twice about it. Not only is this a very good system to go in for, it is also easily one of the most sensible choices that you could possibly make. You can go ahead and perhaps try to look at some other options, but it is extremely unlikely that you will be able to get anything that could be quite as cost effective and forward thinking as solar garden lighting.

PDR Group to Distribute LED Horticultural Lighting Products in India

"This partnership will create a large number of new opportunities in untapped areas for LumiGrow in India," said Neil Coppinger, vice president of sales, LumiGrow. He continued, "Carefully selecting high-quality partners such as PDR Group enables LumiGrow to provide lighting solutions with unprecedented power and energy efficiency to growers everywhere.""The greatest economic opportunity for growers is improving crop productivity," commented Sanjog Lunkad, director, PDR Group. "We're pleased to add the LumiGrow solution to our grower offering because it delivers the productivity gains of conventional greenhouse lighting with half the energy use," he added.
Growers in India are switching from open-field farming to controlled indoor environments to achieve greater crop yields that will meet the needs of a growing population, according to the Horticulture Training Centre. Agriculture in India has the potential for major productivity gains because crop yields in India are 30 percent to 60 percent of the best sustainable crop yields achieved in farms worldwide, according to research from Oklahoma State University. The LumiGrow product line is independently proven to improve crop yields and reduce energy consumption and costs by half compared to conventional lighting. Growers also conserve strained water supplies because plants grown with comparatively cool LumiGrow LED lights show lower transpiration rates than plants grown either in open fields or with conventional greenhouse lighting.
LED retrofit bulbs are considered by many as the heir apparent to incandescent and compact fluorescent lamps, due to their superior energy efficiency and long life. Key barriers to mass adoption have been higher cost and, like compact fluorescent lights (CFL), poor dimmer compatibility and color quality. The challenge posed by color quality improvements represents a significant opportunity for solid-state lighting (SSL) technology, given that consumers are largely dissatisfied with the color quality performance of existing CFLs. Improved color quality is a fundamental advantage for LEDs due to their more uniform optical characteristics. As a result, SSL products can more closely replicate the user experience of incandescent lighting by simultaneously delivering warm correlated color temperature (CCT) with high Color Rendering Index (CRI).

Grid parity is light at the end of the solar-power tunnel, but delay likely

Within the next five or six years Thailand could become one of the world's leading lights in solar power, producing electricity from this renewable energy source at a cost that is either the same or less than buying electricity from a fossil fuel-fired plant. The government's progressive energy policies have spawned a major solar power market, as Thai investors and entrepreneurs see the value of the long-term investment in photovoltaic cell systems, which draw on the natural energy of the sun, a completely free and eternal resource.
This is the fourth solar park Conergy has undertaken in Thailand — and all of them are making contributions to society's energy needs. The challenge for Thai solar power producers is to achieve grid parity as soon as possible, but this is likely to be delayed because Thai consumers actually enjoy some of the lowest electricity tariffs in Asean.Blackest Solar Cell to Date Absorbs 99.7% of Light. That said, the government is moving quickly to promote green energy, including solar.Around the world, one of the major challenges for solar power entrepreneurs and the providers of the technology is to prove that long-term investment will create positive and sustainable returns on what can sometimes be viewed as an intensive initial capital cost.
But in Thailand, many investors are finding rapid success. Thai investors are not only on track to reap healthy profits from solar power installations, but they are also making a massive contribution to the protection of the country's environment by providing sustainable, safe energy. The Philippines is on track to achieve grid parity in certain sectors within two to three years, due to a combination of high local electricity rates and the current power supply environment that draws on diesel-based power barges.
Recent reports that Thai authorities are pursuing a policy of feed-in tariffs is a certain way for Thailand to enhance its status as a solar leader in Asean. This policy |shift would allow for rooftop solar panel installations in addition to the currently popular development of solar farms through Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).PPAs continue to be a tremendous tool to encourage large-scale solar farm development in Thailand. But there is also a massive untapped potential for capturing the Sun's energy on the rooftops of large buildings on both public and private property. By allowing feed-in tariffs and incentivising rooftop solar installations, Thailand's National Energy Policy Council could tap this potential - and create jobs and benefits for people in all income brackets.
